How GTIN Lookup Works
Clean the input
The tool removes spaces and common separators, then checks that only digits remain.
Detect the GTIN type
A length of 8, 12, 13, or 14 digits maps to GTIN-8, GTIN-12 / UPC, GTIN-13 / EAN, or GTIN-14.
Validate the check digit
The final digit is compared with the GS1 Mod-10 check digit calculated from the preceding digits.

Can this page find the product name from a GTIN?
No. This page checks the GTIN structure and check digit locally. It does not query an official GS1 product database or return registered product details.
Why does a GTIN pass checksum but still not appear in a database?
A valid check digit only means the number structure is mathematically valid. It does not prove that the GTIN is registered, active, or assigned to a specific product.
